Vol XX:— Spears, Squares, and Sudden Returns

Greetings, Dear Listeners
I may or may not have weekly updates — it truly depends on whether the realm is busy weaving chaos or simply dozing in the sun.
This week, however, Illyriad stirred… and so we quill.
Tourney Tidings
The current tournament is proving interesting, if a bit lopsided.
With both SkB and SMA largely sitting this one out, there’s no major force in Elgea stepping up to challenge Roads. They seem to be cruising comfortably.
Down south in the Broken Lands, the picture is different — YARR appears to be leading, making a solid push on their squares. Take a look at the causalities yourself – Tor Carrok has 222k casualties, which appears to be the most of an Elgean square they have been focused on. Whereas, Glanhad has over 1.5 million causalities at this time.
And, in a delightful bit of GC ambition:
“[14:01] <Ranalos> I’m hoping to catch Ellania this tourney.”
Said in reference to defense score… and said with full confidence.
We’ll be watching closely.
Movements & Returns
In a surprise return to the realm, Aga — once leader of TUF — has reappeared and joined CHILL.
Welcome back to Illyriad. As tradition demands:

Audrey’s Echoes
Thorfinn, by his own admission, has burned through his troops during the most recent Audrey attempt. He is now begging the realm for both spears and beers as he recuperates.
Was all this in vain?
Did the vines shift?
Was Audrey sated?
We cannot yet say — but history tells us nothing with Audrey is ever simple.
Whispers & Rumors
The rumor mill has been grinding steadily:
Reports claim that Captain Kindly was sitting a particular account and stacked a tourney square with over 100k of that player’s troops. Afterward, the sitter was removed — and the the Captain has left the game entirely.
As always: these are whispers, not confirmations. But they’re too interesting to ignore.
