Vol XIII: — Beans, Polls, and Protagonists

Greetings, dear listeners—
The Quill once again bears witness to the shifting tales of Global Chat. Below is this week’s account, faithfully recorded.
The Devs Speak
The developers have announced the launch of the official wiki page:

In the words of GM Jejune, this is a work in progress—but one worth exploring:
“It’s definitely a ‘minimally viable product’ (MVP) as they say in the dev world, but enough to get started with.”
He also hinted at a mystery hidden within its pages:
“There is a stat published in the Wiki that has never been published in-game. Curious to see if anyone spots it. I found it when parsing all the XML data that SC kept sending me. I thought it was cool to add to the Wiki.”
Thus, the Wiki emerges not only as a resource but also as a puzzle for sharp-eyed players.
The Whole Pot of Beans
What began as a simple request from orc gaming quickly spilled into a confession of plans and grievances:

[21:29] <orc gaming> Is Remy online
[21:29] <Remy> i think sticking with sif isnt a bad idea, he knows his stuff
[21:29] <Remy> there’s also the slight issue that i havent made rats yet
[21:29] <orc gaming> Yes when you do
[21:31] <orc gaming> To keep it short and not spill the beans on my old alliance they are being mean to me and I am researching exodus to leave
[21:31] <orc gaming> And I am down to build something from the ground up
The crowd responded swiftly:
[21:31] <Jah> Bro just dropped the whole pot of beans
[21:31] <Ordo> The Quill better be watching, there’s story potential there
And so the record is kept.
Misunderstandings, Sabotage… or Spies?
Later hours brought accusations against orc gaming, with Waorc leading the charge:
[02:10] <Waorc> Causing “accidents” all the time to heart other ppl game experience just to heart as rising is not honored XD
[03:24] <Waorc> Sexul comments (calling Rainbowstone “gay stone” and offering an alliancemate the stone), 150 harvest “accidents” only to new players “accidentally”, sitting at mates acounts to cause them trouble with other alliances, and few more
The claims escalated, with reports of hostile intentions:
AND orc gaming promising to come back and go after Sif/Waorc as a goal now
Yet not all were convinced:
It could be just a lot of misunderstandings, or sabotage, but I go with the misunderstandings, as do others.
Some even turned the suspicion back around:
[03:33] <Ordo> Wait, so this all started with someone saying o g may be a spy, or misreading free to play as free to spy
[03:33] <Ordo> What if… that person is the actual spy
Thus, the tale of misunderstandings—or espionage—remains unsettled.
Thorfinn’s Poll of War
Beyond Global Chat, Thorfinn took to Discord and let others choose his next target:
Who do I attack next – I will start as soon as the poll ends
EE / Kojak — 3 votes (75%)
Zolvon — 1 vote (25%)
When the poll closed, EE / Kojak was marked for battle.
A mere four votes have now directed the course of Thorfinn’s campaign.
The Protagonist Appears
Among the noise, a new figure has captured attention: John Illyriad.
He entered boldly:

[14:09] <Drolim> good afternoon CAPS-Lock
[14:09] <John Illyriad> SORRY i am just excited.
And later, he encouraged another:
[23:26] <John Illyriad> get big and strong strog
[23:26] <John Illyriad> i’ll see u at the top
This drew the remark:
[23:36] <Sheogorath> If the Quilly person is around they need to stalk and record everything John Illyriad does. This is the protagonist story after all, and it’s still in chapter one.
Thus begins the chronicle of John Illyriad, a name to watch in the chapters to come. Written gospel is not the only news worth sharing. 😉
