Vol XI: -Dragons, Blood, and Glory
Dated: 5 September 2025
π 15th Anniversary Jubilee β Dragons, Blood, and Glory
The time has come, dear readers… The Fall Jubilee Dragon Tournament has come to a fiery close! YARR! took the crown, with SMA and SkB close behind, claiming their gold, silver, and bronze dragon medals. Roads, TCol, TDF, Dlord, mCrow, Bunch, and VortX rounded out the top ten, all earning dragons for their efforts. In total, 721 players won 2,505 dragons, and every participant who fought even once on a tourney square received the exclusive Dragon Priest keepsake unit.
The scale was massive β over 90 million casualties spilled across the map, the bloodiest contest in years. With so many new dragons handed out, alliances have stockpiled entire flocks. Yet these are no immortal trinkets; they are soldiers, and once sent into battle, they can be lost forever. Many expect most players will tuck them away, much like the limitless resources hoarded in Faction Trade Hubs since Illyriadβs beginning. On that note, GM JeJune has been floating the idea of taxing those hubs β or even making them vulnerable to theft β which stirred quite the chatter in Global this week.
πΊοΈ Land & Politics
The Yuman Autonomous Zone (YAZ) has laid claim to Elijal, adding it to the landclaim map immediately (found here). This patch of ground sits nestled between two other Claims β sparks are bound to fly before long.
Meanwhile, across the realm, we continue to see a flood of new players settling into Elgea and beyond. For veterans and landclaimers alike, this steady wave of fresh settlers brings both opportunity and tension. More towns mean more neighbors β and more reasons for borders to bristle.
π₯ Whispers & Rumblings
In the Broken Lands, Sheogorath has grown louder in chat once more, and talk of βfunβ is brewing. With last issueβs mention of Operation Overlord still echoing, the realm may yet see new storms ahead.
